Field Service Technicians (Laser or Optics Technology) 3627SM2

Our client is currently looking for a Field Service Technician for Edmonton and Montreal to: install, service and repair medical laser systems, while meeting or exceeding customer expectations for quality and service within an assigned territory. The successful candidate will provide basic customer training for proper system usage, respond to technical inquiries for products to ensure confidence / satisfaction and provide education while at customer locations. As well as, perform on-site installation, servicing, troubleshooting and repair of complex lasers. Advanced electronic, mechanical and optical troubleshooting and repair of diverse customer and hospital based equipment is required. The ideal candidate will possess 2 to 5 years experience in a related service industry or lab environment in addition to having an Electronic Technician/Technologist diploma or equivalent. Superior problem solving, communication, and customer service skills are required, combined with the ability to read schematics, troubleshoot and use electronic test equipment. Must possess a solid understanding of optical and laser fundamentals, laser experience would be a definite asset. To be considered for the Montreal position candidates should be fluently Bi-lingual (French / English).

Are you an experienced Assistant Store Manager with a "roll up your sleeves attitude"? If you are ready to take on a new challenge, then this may be the right opportunity for you! As the Assistant Store Manager you will report to the local Store Manager and be responsible for the day to day management and operations of the store, sales, customer services, as well as the human resources aspects including training and hiring staff, scheduling work shifts, marketing, promotions, inventory and merchandising. The Assistant Store Manager provides leadership and direction to employees in order to contribute to corporate strategies and execute tactical and operational plans. Typical events include fashion shows, fundraisers and cooperative events with local businesses. The ideal candidate will have the ability to think strategically, develop game plans for success and use retail matrix to measure store performance while driving results in a fast paced, ever changing environment. High-end fashion retail experience combined with a strong work ethic, positive / energetic approach and attention to detail are essential, as are excellent computer skills particularly in point of sales and back office retail systems. Must have a flexible schedule to work nights, weekends and holidays.

Our client is an international company specializing in instrumentation and the process control field. They are currently seeking an individual to work with a Sr. Project Manager and to assist in the execution of all aspects of projects from the initial order through to successful completion. This will involve ongoing liaison with both internal and external customers. A general understanding of instrumentation and plant process automation would be beneficial. It is essential that this person have strong verbal and written communication skills, be well organized, resourceful and able to prioritize activities. A Mechanical or Chemical Engineering Technology graduate with either Co-op experience or other work experience in a sales/customer focused activity would be preferred. Initially this will be a long term contract role with the possibility of going full time.

Will coordinate and track all emergency repairs, installations and replacement activities with service technicians and customers. Schedule, coordinate and document all equipment loaner details including arrangements for shipping, pickup and returns. Prepare accurate service quotations for customers. Coordinate and track all repairs, CSA and QC equipment activities with Lab Technicians and customer. Excellent problem solving, time management and organizational skills are essential in this role. The successful candidate will possess a minimum of 5 years of customer service experience.
