In this type of environment balancing the two is imperative. As a Buyer, attention to this type of detail is crucial. Our client is seeking an individual with a post secondary education in materials or purchasing (preferably with a designation such as CPP or SCMC), 3+ years commodities purchasing experience (fabrics or wood would be an asset but not essential), and strong MRP and systems exposure. Most important is to be self managed, possess a sense or urgency, be extremely detail oriented and to be self motivated. Superior communication skills are essential. |

| Production Planning Supervisor |

| Our client is seeking an experienced Production Planning Supervisor. This role will be responsible to train, educate, advise and control a group of Materials Planners. In this role you will support the team to ensure they understand how to manage customer demands and direct / control the supply chain, production and inventory to ensure 100% accuracy and on-time delivery to customers. You will control, analyze, manipulate and manage all relevant operational data within the MRP manufacturing systems to accurately represent physical reality. Will be responsible to coordinate, decipher, problem solve, setup and adjust basic MRP information data areas including Bill of Material Maintenance and Item Master Maintenance for all finished goods and components. Advanced materials planning skills related to master planning strategy six month planning horizon and new supplier setups are essential. The successful candidate will possess a post secondary education in Business or Materials Management along with a CPIM Designation. Superior communication / interpersonal skills and the demonstrated ability to perform in a team driven environments is essential for success in this role. Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Office applications, MRP systems understanding and AS400 are required. |

| Our client is seeking entry level Purchasing Assistants to join their team. In this role you will compile and maintain records of business transactions and office activities for the Purchasing Department in addition to support the Assistant Manager and other team members as needed. You will contact suppliers and prepare quotes as per customer RFQ's, assist with order processing as required and follow-up on past orders. Will process material correction sheet for item changes and other perform cross-trained functions within the work group as necessary. To be successful in this role candidates must be able to communicate effectively with customers and suppliers and have the demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, handle stress, and perform multiple tasks simultaneously. This role requires the incumbent to be available to travel 30% of the time and as such you must possess a valid drivers license and your own transportation. Successful candidates will have a Diploma/Degree in materials or a related program along with a minimum of 2 years purchasing experience. Strong computer skills with Microsoft Office applications are essential. |

| Materials Production Planner / Scheduler |

| The Production Planner / Scheduler is responsible for weekly updates and generation of the production plan by production line to review with the V.P Operations and the Senior Manager of Supply Chain. You will have responsibility for daily scheduling based on production performance and customer order requirements. In this role you will maintain continuous communication with sales, customer service and production supervisors / management in order to meet production goals. The successful candidate will possess demonstrated experience in both make to stock and make to order manufacturing environments. Hands on experience handling multiple constraints impacting scheduling issues and working with integrated business ERP systems (ie: vs. running on spreadsheets only) is required. To be considered for this opportunity candidates will have degree or diploma from a related discipline along with APICS / CPIM designation would be an asset. Strong computer skills working with Microsoft Office applications and ERP systems experience is essential. |
