| Our client within the food industry is seeking a Senior Finance Analyst to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for being an active contributing member of the plant operations leadership team and will lead the plant finance team at the monthly supervisors meetings. You will support Managers / Supervisors in the analysis of variances as required, compile test data to ensure accuracy of all standard cost components (labour, packaging and ingredients), as well as provide standard cost revision to Head Office for approval and entry into SAP system as necessary for maintaining an accurate costing system. You will ensure compliance with C3 in relation to journal entries and GL account reconciliations, complete month end procedures at the plant level (i.e. Journals, B/S reconciliations) and assume responsibility for the various C3 tests of financial entries for both Journal entries and GL account reconciliations. Will lead the monthly overhead meeting with the managers at the plant and provide insight as to key drivers of variances. Gather and analyze information for non-costing requests (i.e. Six Sigma projects and special projects) and lead the plant finance involvement in Six Sigma projects conducted at the plant. Be responsible for the development of standard operating procedures for finance processes at the plant and cross training of other finance employees at the facility. The successful candidate will have a post secondary Diploma / Degree in Business, Accounting, or a related field or possess equivalent experience. A minimum of 3-5 years related Costing or Accounting experience within a manufacturing facility is required. Enrollment in a professional accounting designation program (CMA, CGA) required, minimum enrollment at the final level. |

| Our client is a rapidly growing, higher volume, custom metal fabrication job shop. They have reached the point in their growth curve where they require a full time Plant Accountant / Controller to take responsibility for all aspects of accounting, finance, human resources, IT and administration. This position does not yet have staff reporting to it and as such this individual must have excellent, hands-on accounting skills and be able to carry a large workload. Reporting to the President you will have excellent problem solving skills, relate well to a young, high energy, fast moving management team, have solid practical, hands-on accounting experience in manufacturing which would include costing (job & standard), financial reporting, preparation of all financial statements and know enough about business to act as the right hand to the President. This is an amazing opportunity to impact the growth and success of this rapidly expanding manufacturer from the ground floor; they already have an additional manufacturing facility in the US and are planning a couple more. The preferred candidate will possess a professional accounting designation such as a CMA, CGA or CA and will have 5-10 years progressives, hands-on accounting skills in manufacturing will be a superior communicator and will be a high energy type team player. |

| Junior Cost Analyst / Accountant |

| Our client is seeking a Junior Cost Analyst to support the Plant Finance Manager. This role will be responsible to support product cost analysis and weekly/monthly financial reporting. Under general supervision the successful candidate will perform moderately complex accounting tasks including daily reconciliation of production balancing between the internal system and SAP for the plant, as well as investigate discrepancies between the 2 systems. Perform weekly reconciliation of inventory movement between the production facility and shipping facility, as well as weekly reconciliation of outside storage inventory. You will assist in performing various testing as required on the plant floor, complete product costing sheets as required by finance staff and help assist with reviewing process order confirmations accuracy and perform corrections when necessary as well as handle close process / order settlement for maintenance / production. Be responsible for yield reporting, process order analysis, issue investigation and conducting meetings with production. Will carry out period end inventory, process order review and cycle counts. Provide clerical and data entry support for Plant / Production Manager and Sr. Financial Analyst. Assist with period end journal entries and reconciliations as well as perform other duties as required by the Sr. Finance Manager. The successful candidate will possess 1-3 years of finance / accounting experience gained within a computerized manufacturing environment. A post-secondary education from a recognized business program is strongly preferred. Candidates must process strong analytical and problem solving abilities along with strong interpersonal and communication skills. |
