| Senior Data Centre Consultant |

| An established and growing Insurance company is building teams for several projects they will be starting. This client requires a Senior Data Centre Consultant to join their growing team on a contract / contract to hire basis. This individual will design, implement and maintain secure, highly-available servers and networking environments, continually monitoring system security to ensure corporate standards are met while ensuring service levels are met by regularly reviewing, testing and updating production and disaster recovery site technologies. You will need to develop and maintain relevant documentation and network diagrams as well as provide 2nd level support to peers. The successful candidate will be a University or College graduate with a minimum of 5 years experience in supporting servers and networking equipment and have advanced knowledge of security including Active Directory and network security design. A security background coupled with or working towards a CISSP, MCSE, CCSE is highly preferred. Experience with disaster recovery, in a SQL 2000 or 2005 backend environment and intermediate to strong experience with VPN's Firewalls is also considered beneficial. Proficiency with high-availability design such as clusters and system redundancy, experience with VMWare, and designing, testing and maintaining disaster recovery site technologies is preferred. |

You will provide technical direction and advice to new applications and multiple project teams to ensure new projects meet enterprise architecture and technology standards. You will participate in the evaluation of vendor software and work with senior management to develop long term architectural directions as well as provide input into IT budgets and plans. To be considered for this opportunity, you must have a minimum of 5 years of IT experience and a minimum of 2-3 years in the development of Enterprise and SOA Architecture and strategy. The successful incumbent will have experience devising implementation, migration and interface strategies to manage the business risk of transitions to new applications as well as experience architecting and leading the development of .Net, SQL, XML framework. This individual will also interact with clients on project progress, updates and challenges and provide mentoring to junior staff. To be considered for this opportunity, you must have a minimum of 5 years experience in leading quality assurance teams, in both Manual and Automated testing using .NET, ASP.NET, Java technologies. You also need to have experience in developing test plans, strategies, cases, scripts and schedules, plus experience using Test director, Win runner, Load runner, QTP, VSS, or TFS. Strong knowledge of Agile and Waterfall methodologies plus completion of or working towards a formal QA certification (CSTE, CSQA, ASQA) is an asset. |
