| Our client is a leading international company involved in major capital equipment projects for the power industry. They require the service of an experienced Project Manager. You will manage projects from inception to successful completion, ensuring that all applicable industry standards are met. You will also contribute to the development and presentation of engineering proposals that take into account technical and commercial considerations while mitigating risk. You will interact with project teams including engineering, manufacturing and financial personnel in order to develop realistic strategies, budgets and schedules. You will also liaise with customers to negotiate and resolve issues as they arise. The ideal candidate for this role will be a Mechanical Engineer with proven experience handling projects for large power industry projects, or other major capital equipment projects. These may have involved working with joint ventures and consortiums to provide a package solution. Strong communications, attention to detail and proven project management skills are essential in the performance of this role.

| A large manufacturer in the area requires an Engineering and Manufacturing Manager for full responsibility of all aspects of engineering activities through Project Managers, Process / Manufacturing Engineers and other technical staff. The successful candidate will plan, organize, direct and control the Engineering Department, using knowledge of general engineering, principles, manufacturing, management and tooling / machining. They will be responsible for workload scheduling, assign staff to customer projects, accountability to specific deadlines and project timelines and will review project schedules on a timely basis to ensure the projects are completed on time. Strong interdepartmental cooperation is required for this manager, as they will provide engineering expertise for projects progressing through the manufacturing process for plant layout, process improvement, part quality improvement, ergonomic improvement, scrap / reject improvement and cost reduction by tooling, machine and manpower. To be considered for this role, candidates should have completed post secondary education in engineering, technical or related discipline. A strong plastics background (5+ years, preferably injection molding) is key for this role, as well as 5+ years in a management or senior management level role with large team responsibility. P.Eng or eligible candidates will be given additional consideration.
