Our client is looking for a career minded engineer that is looking for the challenge of a corporate engineering role that will allow them to travel the world and implement continuous improvement initiatives utilizing our client’s unique manufacturing systems. As a Mechanical or Chemical Engineer you will be expected to execute Process Improvement Projects from conception through to commissioning utilizing your Lean Manufacturing training. As part of the projects, the Continuous Improvement Engineer will collect and analyze all required manufacturing data and prioritize projects then, at the end of the project, will aid in the integration of the new lean initiatives into the daily activities of the manufacturing facility. Our client will consider candidates from heavy manufacturing environments that have a track record of completing projects with minimal supervision. Our client operates a 24/7 process manufacturing environment and is looking to bring onboard a proven professional to champion the implementation of lean manufacturing methodologies. You will promote the advantages of continuous improvement to unionized personnel on the shop floor in conjunction with management and provide the training and tools (from basic 5S plans to kaizan blitzes up to six sigma projects) necessary for them to produce breakthrough results. The successful candidate will have a technical background and education along with at least 5 years experience of successful Lean/CI implementation where you've promoted change within the culture of a company to embrace these concepts. You will have strong people skills and be equally proficient in challenging labour relations environments or dealing with technical issues.

Our client is a well established provider of process solutions for the chemical, petrochemical, gas and other industrial or utility applications. In this role you will be responsible for projects involving process design, fluid mechanics, process control and instrumentation. This will include the sizing and selection of mechanical equipment such as pumps, valves and heat exchangers. Additional functions will include providing applications support to the sales team, liaison with sub contractors and involvement in site testing and commissioning. The preferred candidate will be a Chemical or Mechanical engineer (P. Eng.) with several years or experience relating to the chemical, petrochemical or utility industry and a strong understanding of chemical processes and process control concepts. Knowledge of the regulatory codes for piping, mechanical and electrical equipment would be beneficial.
