| Reporting to the Director of Engineering you will be responsible for assuming technical or project leadership for completion of assignments within design, budget and schedule limitations ensuring designs are cost effective to manufacture in the alternative fuel system environment for automotive and related products. You will establish and monitor the design schedule as well as estimate the costing of parts through vendors, toolmakers and internal cost standards. The successful candidate will follow safe work practices, introduce new products to production, work as a team member and perform all work assigned by a project leader. To be considered for this role you must have a mechanical design degree and or diploma in addition to experience in a fuel system or related product environment. Excellent communication, organization skills are required as well as knowledge of regulatory requirements, validation techniques and industry standards. Proficiency in a CAD environment is essential and, and knowledge of FEA is preferred.

Skill set will include CAD and parametric modeling experience (Solidworks or CATIA), an understanding of multi-parameter mathematical transforms for static or dynamic coordinate reference frames and high degree of computer systems and networking proficiency. It's imperative that you have strong organizational and technical leadership skills in a team environment coupled with above average communication skills and the ability to prepare and deliver professional presentations to customers.
